Salted Caramel Sourdough Brownies
Unique Salted Caramel Sourdough Brownies with that amazing chocolatey richness you're used to with an added sourdough tang and perfect caramel sweetness. This is a treat you need to try!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 1/2 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3 Eggs
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Sourdough Starter Discard
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2-3 tbsp Caramel check out our 1 Ingredient Caramel recipe!
- Flaky Sea Salt for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking dish with parchment paper, we used a 9×9 inch pan.
- Melt butter in a saucepan and add in the chocolate chips, vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Stir until fully melted and smooth, and set aside.
- In a mixer, beat the eggs, brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the flour, salt and sourdough discard and mix again until just combined.
- Pour into prepared pan, drizzle caramel on top and swirl into the brownie batter.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and bake for 35-38 minutes until a knife comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan, cut into squares and enjoy!
