Salted Caramel Sourdough Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sourdough Starter Discard
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2-3 tbsp Caramel check out our 1 Ingredient Caramel recipe!
  • Flaky Sea Salt for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking dish with parchment paper, we used a 9x9 inch pan.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan and add in the chocolate chips, vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Stir until fully melted and smooth, and set aside.
  • In a mixer, beat the eggs, brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the flour, salt and sourdough discard and mix again until just combined.
  • Pour into prepared pan, drizzle caramel on top and swirl into the brownie batter.
  • Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and bake for 35-38 minutes until a knife comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan, cut into squares and enjoy!
