Homemade Slow Cooker Apple Butter
Full of that perfect apple flavor!

Have you ever finished harvesting your apple tree and you have no idea what to do with all the apples? We had that experience last season and decided that this apple butter was the perfect way to use our harvest. No wasting food here! Apple Butter is actually an AMAZING baking ingredient and can also be used as a spread for your morning toast, for cooking meat, or in overnight oats. We’ve used it in our Apple Swirl Bread, Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Apple Butter Smoked Pork Tenderloin – it’s so versatile!

This recipe is fairly easy and straightforward. You’ll prepare the ingredients, put them in a slow cooker, and let the magic happen. While slow cooking the apples will slowly breakdown, aided by the acidic lemon juice and apple cider vinegar. Add in some sugar and amazing spices and the resulting mixture is your delicious Apple Butter! You’ll love having a jar of this Apple Butter on hand throughout the year!
