The Best Orange Chicken Recipe

This recipe is soooo good! With the BEST sticky orange sauce, it truly can't be beat. We always seem to come back to this dish over and over again. Once you try it, you'll know why!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 chicken breasts cut into cubes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1-2 tbsp oil for the pan
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

For the Orange Sauce:

  • 2-3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 5 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 1/4 cup water mixed
  • Orange zest optional

Instructions
 

  • Cut chicken into cubes and coat well with your garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, cornstarch, and baking soda.
  • Add olive oil and chicken to a heated skillet over high heat and cook chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Once cooked remove chicken from the pan and set aside to add back in later.
  • Turn heat down to medium-low and add in your garlic & ginger, cooking until slightly fragrant.
  • Add your orange juice (and zest if being used), soy sauce, and honey. Bring to a boil and allow to reduce a bit.
  • Add your mixed cornstarch and water, stir and allow the sauce to thicken. Add your chicken back in and stir until fully coated.
  • Serve over rice with sesame seeds & green onions on top and enjoy!
