Ingredients
- 1 & 1/4 cup flour

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 cups oats
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple butter try our Slow Cooker Apple Butter recipe!
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and oats in a bowl and set aside.
- In a mixer (or with a hand mixer if needed), beat the butter and brown sugar until well combined.
- Beat in the apple butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Reduce mixer speed to slow and gradually add in your flour & oat mixture.
- Fold in your walnuts and chocolate chips and scoop your dough into mounds on your prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes (I made mounts of about 1/4 cup of dough so cook for less time if your mounds are smaller) and allow to rest on the pan for 2-3 minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool.
- Pair with a glass of milk and enjoy!
